Coast Guard rescues three near Tawas, Mich.
U.S. Coast Guard Station Tawas rescued three men near Tawas, Mich. after their vessel began taking on water and sank at approximately 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
Station Tawas received a distress call relayed from a good samaritan vessel on VHF channel 16 at approximately 3:30 p.m. The station’s 47-foot motor lifeboat was dispatched to the scene, where the three men were clinging to the partially submerged vessel.
