Coast Guard crew rescues 2 near Newport, N.J.
The Coast Guard rescued two people Saturday in Nantuxent Creek near Newport, N.J., who were reported overdue after the personal watercraft they were aboard became stranded in shallow water. The Coast Guard received a call at 9:32 p.m. from one of the overdue persons father reporting his son and his son’s friend overdue from their trip. A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Fortescue, N.J., and a rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City, N.J., searched for them. Click link for more.
