Coast Guard medevacs two from offshore supply vessel
NEW ORLEANS — The Coast Guard medevaced two crewmembers from an offshore supply vessel, aprroximately 15 miles south of Atchafalaya Bay, La., Thursday, May 28, 2009. The Coast Guard received a call from the offshore oil rig Eugene Island at 8:12 a.m. Thursday, reporting that two crewmembers on board the offshore supply vessel Capt. Rayne were suffering from burns after an explosion on board the vessel and requested a medevac.
